Agent and General Counsel
Chris grew up on Chicago’s North Shore and graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in journalism (broadcast production management). He went on to attend graduate school and received his juris doctor from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Chris is a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois with years of experience primarily in civil litigation & entertainment law.
Chris began taking piano lessons at an early age, but it wasn’t until he taught himself how to play guitar that he joined his first garage band in high school playing cover songs by bands such as Pearl Jam and Nirvana.
At college in Boulder, Chris’ passion for music continued as he formed his own band Sour Mash. Sour Mash found success playing a mix of original songs (many that he had composed over the years) and rock covers to enthusiastic crowds at clubs, bars, and fraternity events.
Almost immediately upon completing law school in Chicago, Chris founded his own company providing management, booking, and legal services to artists & bands in the Midwest. He also started another band with two former classmates and attorneys called Malpractice LTD. Malpractice LTD was active from 2001 to 2006 and played many prestigious Chicago venues such as the Double Door, Cubby Bear, and Durty Nellies, and opened for national touring acts such as Vince Neil, Thin Lizzy, Montrose and Sponge.
Around the time of Malpractice LTD’s last show in 2006, Chris kept active in the music business by working in A & R for a cutting-edge entertainment company that was affiliated with major labels such as J Records, EMI, and Atlantic Records.
Chris joined Magnificent Events in April of 2017.
