Founded in 1980, Crossfyre is a group of enormously talented musicians who perform Classic to Contemporary Country, as well as Blues, Rock and fifties and sixties music. Crossfyre also performs a hand full of original compositions.
Crossfyre has headlined the Midwest's most prominent country clubs, made numerous television and radio appearances and performed at many festivals and concerts across the country. Included in their television appearances, Crossfyre was the featured group on the WGN Morning News Show. Crossfyre tours regularly with the WGN Noon Show (Radio 720 AM) featuring Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong, on their live remotes from Fairs, Festivals and Farm Progress Shows. In 1997, Crossfyre won the best CD / Album and Artists of the Year in the Country category at the 16th Annual Chicago Music Awards. Crossfyre delights audiences of all ages and musical tastes, with their extensive repertoire, interacting with the audience with fantastic true country music.
Crossfyre has opened for Eddie Raven, Holly Dunn, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mickey Gilley, Loretta Lynn, Ronnie Milsap, Merle Haggard, Ricky Scaggs, Alabama, Ricochet, Blake Shelton, Dwight Yoakam, Doug Stone, John Conlee, Bobby Bare and many more. Crossfyre has been the backup band for Lori Morgan.
